Default wait to start light blinks and grid heater acting weird

Ok after i cycle the grid heater, the ground wire gets real hot (wire from grid heater to intake bolt) and the wait to start light is solid until the grid is done heating, then blinks after the grids go off, and also the solenoid/relay whatevr between battery and grids will sometimes whine real loud then thunk when going off, other times its silent. I have checked for shorts and all connections are good. Im not a wiring expert either. What could all this possibly mean?

The loud bonk is normal and as far as I know if the temp outside is above 60 degrees then they wont even activate the light does come on but only for a few seconds.Im pretty sure thats how it works at least that is what the 2 trucks I have owened have done.

the reason it blinks is because you got problem somewhere. check to make sure your ground is good and tight. also make sure that your wiring going to the intake air temp sensor on the intake manifold is good as well. if those all look ok, one of your relays are probably bad. in the sticky i believe is a link on how to test them
