the sensors arent needed when swapping i just took all mine off.

needs: tranny, 5 speed transfer case (if its 4wd), driveline mods, clutch, flywheel, clutch hydraulics (master and slave), pedal, clutch start sensor. i think thats mostly it.

I'm in the midst of the swap right now. I'd recommend just getting a whole donor truck.

Things I've picked up:

The tranny and transfer case are pretty important. ;) The input splines are different from an auto to a manual, so you can't *easily* use your transfer case.

You're going to need the clutch housing/bellhousing adapter.

You'll probably want to buy a new clutch...it's too much work to put in a 1/2 dead clutch. Get one with the throw out, pressure plate, etc.

There are two big rubber donut bushings on the crossmember you'll definitely need.

Speaking of the crossmembers...the one I pulled off my auto is different than the manual one....I'd grab that, too.

You'll probably want to get a new pilot bearing for the flywheel. Also, you'll want to have the flywheel turned if you put a new clutch in.

The driveshafts are different lengths, as the trannys are different lengths...the front driveshaft on the 518 is a good 4 inches longer and the rear shorter.

You'll need the pedal assembly from the donor truck, as well as the clutch cylinder.

You'll need to cut a hole in the floor of the truck to put the stick shift.

And for my part, I needed a 4.5 inch grinder and a cut off wheel to get some of the crossmember bolts out. Those things were tough!

I've got a few page thread going on dtr about my swap if you want a little more info.

It's been pretty slow going...everything is messy, rusted, and heavy!

But, I'm a pretty slow worker...I've heard of people doing it pretty fast.

Oh, you'll also need a tranny or ATV jack..or at least it suuuure is a good idea!

ya a tranny jack is key. it shouldnt take too long if you got everything ready. me and my brother had it done in a full day
