HELP truck ran fine last night now will not start

So i drove my truck all day yesterday it ran fine i park it for the night and it cranks over just does not try to fire i checked the engine codes and nothing no smoke when it cranks either. fuel filter is new and i have an electric fuel pump with plenty of fuel to the filter drain. i am going to crack an injector tmro see if i have fuel there. timing is fine 1/8 advanced.

check your injectors as you said see how its squirting. if it is just kind of dribbing or semi squirting out you got a problem it should squirt pretty good. if its not squirting right either your IP is bad, or your fuel shut off solenoid is bad

well i have been using a pull cable to shut the truck off ever since i have owned it

tltruckparts 04-10-2010 11:02 PM

well in that case my guess would be your shut off solenoid took a crap

i hope i don't know why it would just randomly do it but yea i know for sure it's not getting fuel the 5 inch stack out the hood usually blows smoke just start and it's nothing

i was beating on it a little bit last night but i don't know why that would matter all the gauges showed fine

a shut off solenoid normally just goes out with no warning. thats what mine did when it went out. was running right along shut it down, next day it wouldnt start

Check the shut down wiring, the wires still need to be connected to each other in some way even though you don't use the selonoid.

moneyman_09 04-11-2010 10:38 AM

I checked over everything and i have no fuel to the injectors i checked the wires everything is hooked up. I don't understand if the solenoid was blowin and won't shut off with the key to shorted out and not letting it get fuel

NadirPoint 04-11-2010 10:48 AM

Does the shutdown solenoid have 12 volts with the key on? :nope:

moneyman_09 04-11-2010 10:52 AM

have not checked it
