this is when i am pulling hills loaded or empty. it seems like it is running hotter now with the new water pump.

I have seen mine there a couple times but it never stays that hot.

try a new t-stat that made mine run way cooler. The old t-stat must have stayed shut all the time, because it would get that hot during the summer sometimes, and the fan would never come on. Now my fan is on almost all the time, which kinda sucked this summer

no mine runs that hot to and its the same year kinda makes you wonder but not a lick of problems yet with the cooling system :yeah:

That can;t be good for it. Im curious as to how hot that really is but normally anything over the halfway mark on any stock gauge on any car can't be good.

ArizonaRedneck 03-28-2010 09:10 PM

i would bet you could put a regular gauge in it and it wouldnt be as hot as you think :humm: and is your fan kicking in

yep, That and check your ground from the battery negative to the core support. A bad ground will cause those gauges to read backwards for some reason.

I CANT TELL IF THE FAN IS KICKING IN OR NOT, IT ONLY GETS THIS HOT ON HILLS THEN GOES BACK DOWN TO THE HALF WAY POINT ON THE GAUGE AFTER I GET ON FLAT GROUND AGAIN
