x2 it is just a waste of mpg and wasted fuel. not mention thats question thats making all of us have to smog our trucks soon.

as for $6500 that might be high but i dont know what they go for in your area. around here i can get one clean as a whistle for 5-5500

if it has a plow I would put money on two things...
  1. It's been worked hard, plow trucks get worked VERY hard and plowing is hard on ALL the parts.
  2. If its a plow truck its got rust. Look at the floor boards, the rain gutter above the windshield, and the wheel wells.

I myself would not pay that much for a plow truck, hell I would not pay that for any 1st gen unless it was cherry!

X2 When I was looking for a first gen, I found two near me with plows on them, and both were over $7,500.:s: Keep looking, because you'll find one much cheaper. They are fun and easy to work on and can make cheap power. (and smoke, which is cool at first, then gets old quick.):c:

i found my truck and it was a plow truck. i paid 800 and have had to replace so much rusted s*%t. if it was used for plowing good luck. id keep my eye out still.:nope:

theyre definitely not the strongest trans ever used but they arent horrible though. the torque converter is a known weak link though
