air dog II
 

i just ordered my air dog II 165, and was wondering if any one has installed it in their trucks, did it come with everything you needed, how long did it take to install, and how happy were you with it.

same here mine went out and i m wondering what is the best kit for a 01 cummins for mild to eventually wild

its pretty easy and yes it comes with everything

I installed mine in about fourteen hours... but, I also had to fabricate a spacer to move my FS2500, and started to replace my front pinion seal (before starting AD install) until I realized I didn't have the correct size socket. To the best of my knowledge everything I needed was included. My truck is an 06, so the kit will obviously be somewhat different in the fitting department.

i have a ddrp fass right now it flows 95gph and i loose fuel press around half throttle, the head of the fass leaks slightly, so thats why i got an air dog, besides 165 gph, should be more then i need. the fass just didn't impress, i do know some guys with raptor pumps and they like them....but one of the fuel neck down points is the filter head so i wanted filters, and i wanted to put a 1/2" pick up tube in the fuel tank, and the air dog just had every thing i was looking for, so i got it.

mine was pretty easy. about 4 hours with the help of my brother. the biggest pain of all was making the return piece go into the filler neck tube, my tube was like 3 1/2" wide but the piece they sent me was only like 2" wide so i had to clamp the ever lovin crap out of it. and i ordered it for my chevy too like i was supposed to. hopefully the dodges arent like that. the only other thing i wasnt impressed with was the mounting system. it looks kinda cheesy but ill be fabbing something a little cleaner here soon.

but as far as if it had everything it did, but the thing of lock tite they gave me was only enough to but a tiny little spot on only one bolt, so get some lock tite youll probably need it

I work for a performance shop and installed a Airdog 150 into a 99 E350 in about 6 hours... That included installing the draw straw.


The kit came with everything I needed, but I did not use the mounting bracket, as it did not allow for a clean enough install for me to be proud to put my name on it... The bracket was definitely functional though.

If you have never had the "privilage" of working with pushloc fittings you are in for a treat ;), just remember that lube is your friend. They are alot easier to install if you can do it with the line off the vehicle and the fitting in a vise... Make sure you push the fitting into the line all the way to the collar and DO NOT use hose clamps or you will likely have leaks. Install your first fitting in the line, route the line and cut it to length, remove the line and install your second fitting then permanently install the line...
