turbo questions

Just put a new turbo on my 92 1st gen cummins. New one has a wastegate. In order for everything to line up right, the wastegate is on the bottom. Problem is, the hard line drain going to the pan was hitting on the gate. So I cut it, and modified with regular tubing. Questions are: Do I need high temp tubing that goes to the pan and how important is it to have the injection port and the oil drain straight up and down? And also I have a little problem with the line going under the wastegate trying to kink. Help 1992 D250 4X4 1st Gen Cummins-3" lift w/315X16's on her. Custom Bumper and rack-pillar guages-Kenwood-after performance stuff, will paint. Pics soon

I would definetly use high temp stuff.heater hose issnt gonna work. The hot oil will eat it in a hurry. You may have to order from mcmaster carr.Id just block the wastegate unless youve got a small exhaust housing.

the closer to straight up and down the better, cummins has a spec for it but i can't remember what it is for the life of me...:humm:
and x2 on the high temp hose

Thanks for the advice guys. Trying to learn more about these 1st Generations. It's my first. I'm a fair mech and getting a little tired of paying high $ when I can do something myself. So far everything's been pretty easy. Just in the dark about a lot of little things.
