370's and 435's

What the difference in power? What power does the 5x12's make and what power does the 5x14's make?

Thanks

ive been told 5x.014s yield roughly 80-125 horsepower depending on your setup. but yet they are still very streetable (thats why i went with them). thats what im told at least. i like mine alot theyre very smooth

i think those are a 75hp injector arent they.Ive got a set and it was sold as a 75hp upgrade

tltruckparts 12-22-2009 01:25 PM

did you get them form the same guys i did? im sure all the companies vary a little bit

stillcummin 12-22-2009 04:22 PM

I got mine from tennessee diesel conversion. They are emd'd.

Bad93Cummins 12-22-2009 08:32 PM

so 435's are 75hp upgrades? What are 370's?

stillcummin 12-22-2009 09:17 PM

You cant go by these hp figures to say you have"x" amount of horsepower over stock. These figures are the maximum capabilities of the injector, not what you get by installing the injector.Without turning the fuel up,you wont even see an increase if you have the early non-intercooled injectors. The 100-150 figure may be right because mine are special 5-hole for a 4bt.

from what ive heard and read the 370's and 435's are mostly good for towing trucks but dont have the best spray pattern for a daily truck. thats why i turned away from them and went to 5x.14's. but i could be wrong. talk to smokem if you want good advice on injectors, seems like he is on top of his game with this stuff

so is their a huge difference between the 2? Their's $75 price difference, so tring to figure out which one to go with.

tltruckparts 12-25-2009 08:25 PM

well look at it in the size factor. how much fuel do you REALLY WANT to move. bigger nozzles the more fuel its gonna move to it.

well I want more power but I also tow ever now and then. ill probley just do the 5x12's, cheaper but still good power and nice amount of smoke and what not. But with the super 40 and 14 or 16cm ext. housing shouldn't be to bad.

i have DDP 80hp injectors, work great. no smoke at idle, they really gave the ole girl a boost over my stock stix. i would reccomend them to anyone.

if your going to be running a bigger turbo go with the 5x.14's. i like mine they are very clean at idle and when i tromp on it there definitely isnt a lack of smoke by any means. better to upgrade now than to go smaller and want to upgrade later IMO

Ya that's what I have been contemplating. I'll probley do that wanting to try and order them by monday/tuesday.
