napa clutch or southbend clutch?

will a brand new napa clutch do just fine with my upgrades or is the southbend clutch absolutely necessary? i don't want to spend the extra cash but if its 100% necessary i will

put it this way when you burn 2 clutches in a year on a DD rig (my 1993 light modded dodge) there junk i put 14000 miles on that year so a 7000 mile life for $500 is a smoking deal NOT :td:

Problem with napa performance clutches (Zoom) is they tighten with RPM. I can't confirm and have no solid numbers, but the little bit i've heard about them being run behind a diesel is they don't tighten up fast enough and slip at the low rpms with all the torque.

The zooms are pretty nice in a gasser though. My buddy put one in his honda and its held up to his awful riceboy driving.

I would have to recomend the South Bend Con-O. I just finished installing SBs 13" Con-O - Fly wheel, clutch disk, PSI plate and TO bearing. The fly wheel has their oversize pilot bearing. I also went with their HD hydraulic M/C and Slave cylinder mainly due to Dodges less than stellar setup - it's the best setup I have ever had including the original setup. BTW I bought the truck new in Jan of '93. Their tech support was excellant - helped me through my mistakes.
