switch from auto trans to getrag
i just inhereted a free 90 dodge w250 with a 5 speed in it and my truck is an auto. how hard is this conversion to do if i have a complete truck? and will i hit problems with the truck being a chevy or can i just use my chevy clutch pedal and throw the rod into the dodge master cylinder. or should i use the chevy master and slave or how should i make it work? anyone done this? is it worth the work? thanks

IF you have a donor truck I think teh hardest part will be cutting the hole in teh floor and making a cross member. |

you got any advise what would be easier to use the dodge pedals and master and slave cylinders or just use the ones that came with the chevy (it was a manual before). and what all parts will i need to swap. do i need to change out flex plates and all of that kind of stuff too? |
anyone?

my dad did a conversion 86 chevy to cummins with a get rag he used the chevy cluch master cylinder but used the dodge slave pedals leave stock u wont have to fabricate anything as for the whole mount the tranny up but dont put the crossmsber up leave on a jack so mu can take a measurment with teh tranny up and cut the whole. ur gunna need to use the dodge crossmember just once u cut teh whole mount the crossmember and either mark wholes and torch through the frame or weld it up good luck
