anyone know what the circled red thing is? its right inbetween the split of the injection lines.
is it maybe a tap to install a boost gauge or something? it was there when i bought the truck so i dont know what it is

stkdram55 11-06-2009 10:56 AM

can ya get a better pic of it close or from another angle...i kinda looks like a sensor that someone cut the wire off of but im not sure

tltruckparts 11-06-2009 11:05 AM

it was a whitish clear hose line that looks about the same as the ones they give you when you install like an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. i just cut it off so it wasnt in my way since it didnt go to anything. there is no wires.

ok thats what im seeing, and that is in the intake manifold right?? I was probably where they got there boost reading from for a boost guage...if it isnt plugged off your gonna have a small boost leak right there

tltruckparts 11-06-2009 11:12 AM

ok i will plug that off today then. what will happen with a boost leak? will it make the truck run bad or what?

You could notice a difference in power with it plugged...

Boost fitting. Unscrew it and find a fastener that will screw in, in its place.

I put my boost gauge fitting there (if that's on the intake!).
