Air Dog 100
I think i have the fuse in to low of an amp. What amp should the air dog run off?
|
What do the directions say? If it keeps poping the size in the directions DONT step up, something is wrong. Call AirDog monday morning.
|
No when I go to start it in the morning it doesn't seem like their's any fuel.
|
well the only real fuse I found that was kinda of an aux. was a 2 amp fuse slot and I think that's to small ain't it?

bud; it sounds like you have some serious wiring issues goin on... are you saying that you tapped into the aux as a "key on, key off" trying to run the pump directly off of that circuit? that circuit will work just fine for controlling a relay that will handle the amperage the airdog would draw.
|
Yea I got it set to where the pump should only run when the key is on.
But latly it has a hard time starting and when wide open it'll sound like its not getting fuel gaining speed, like quick spirts of no fuel then it'll go, and just acting like the pump isn't pumping fuel. Also noticed today that the truck is taking forever to shift into second gear, so not sure what's going on there. |
idk; intermittent problem like that isnt going to be a fuse... if the circuit has too much resistance it can cause excessive voltage drop; and in turn a weak pump. it may still be an electrical problem... although i would still talk with airdog and let them know what is going on. did you ever get a fuel pressure gauge for your truck? i rememeber you getting abunch of gauges' just dont recall which ones

I got everthing but a fuel pressure gagues, I guess that will be next!
