12v lost 5th
 
I have a 95 dodge that lost 5th gear:argh: what are the possible causes for that can any body help me?

with the common problem of a nv4500 is the bolt/pin comming out and fth gear falling off the shaft and falling into a little shlef in the tranny this dose not hurt anything usualy just ofen it up and put it back on

take the tail section off and get the updated 5th gear nut you dont have to take the unit out to do this

it was a snap ring on the cluster some one had sprung it when they put it back together
cost a total of $3.00 for that then way to much for the oil
