smoke?
alright so diesels are supposed tosmoke right, well most of the new ones don't stock but on any diesel the more fuel the more smoke the more power, well my friend whos only 16, says that black smoke is bad and it clags up your engines, i think that smoke cools the injectors nozzles to but any input would be great thanks.
P.S> another one of my friends says that turning in the full fuel screw about 4 turns will melt down the injector pump, i doubt this is true but any input again would be nice. :humm: |
The pistons will have issues with heat before the injector nozzles do. More smoke doesn't necessarily mean more power, it means you're dumping more fuel in. If you have the airflow upgrades to support burning more fuel, then you'll make more power. The soot really isn't going to clog the engine up, it's going to burn out of the combustion chamber; the main thing is it will soot up the oil so you'll want to change the oil a little more often or at least change the filter more often.
I don't know how much you can turn the rotary pumps up before it's too much pressure; but I have been told that you want to put injectors in if you're turning the pump up very much as the VE pumps don't hold up well to really high pressure. |
^^^^^What he said.^^^^^^:U:

alright thanks guys :U:
|
if you turn your pump up too much you'll have a run away and your motor will blow up unless you can cut the air to the turbo

think you could stall the motor in runaway with a 5 speed?

Not unless you had a twin disk clutch. I don't think a single is going to hold one back if you dumped it. I would bet it would eat the disk. I would definatly give it a try.:w2: |
i highly doubt it will kill it by dumping it, my guess is it will slip the clutch till it wont hold any more or the truck will take off :booo:
|
ha ha ya ill just turn it way up then try LOL.
I would think throwing it into 5th and dumoin it would work but i dunno |
get the phone book ready:w2:
