What are your temps at?

tower_ofpower 08-28-2009 10:04 AM

if he didnt mess with the full fuel he should only be getting abit toasty on the bottom end, and even then i dont think it'd get up to 900* post turbo. i dont think my truck has even seen 900 yet... will when i go to have it inspected... i'll have too much fun blacking out the town

road dog 09-05-2009 11:57 AM

no i didn't mess with the full fuel. just the smoke screw. i don't have guages but i can't imagine it getting that hot because it only smokes when i get boost because it's the fuel pin in the boost housing on the injection pumo that is allowing more fuel

Yes, Smoke is fun.:choochoo:

Great!! All the more ammo for the EPA to shoot us down with. :argh::argh::argh:

I smoke when I can get away with it. Don't do it with lots of people around. Always seems like 1st genners get yelled at when we smoke but 2nd and 3rd genners can do it all they want.:booo:

I agree with your statement, but at the same time these are the same people that say don't judge a book by its cover or beauty is skin deep, yet one diesel powered pickup or tractor trailer or just anything with a diesel engine that smokes gets judged immediately because it looks "bad" when they don't even understand how a diesel engine works or why they smoke

tower_ofpower 09-05-2009 11:25 PM

indeed more smoke will get the EPA's attention but it isnt just the first gen guys doing it; as richie said 2nd and 3 gens get to do it all the time... just by the assumption that since they're newer they HAVE to be cleaner... it isnt our fault; it's everyone elses ignorance that makes our smoke seem so bad. although then you have the guys that get abit carried away with it and never have any intentions of upgrading the induction system... those guys are the real :asshat: i havent even got the truck legally on the road yet and i've de-tuned it slightly... the H1C takes too long to clear the smoke up and still hazes heavily :w2:
