transmission upgrades

So; i have the 89 tuned up pretty decently and when it comes into boost hard goin about 20mph it starts to break loose. i know the 727 trans are rugged but i dont know exactly how rugged they are. i'm looking for suggestions on upgrades. already been looking into goerends torque convertors; the rear main seal leaks like a SOB so; when i split the engine and transmission to replace it i'd like to drop a goerends into it. i know you can get a valve body for a gasser 727 but i'm guessing they wont work with the diesel. a deep transmission pan is on the list of to do's and synthetic fluid. i'm not looking to bullet proof the transmission b/c after 4 years and a small fortune i'll have big plans for the truck which will involve massive modifications and transmission swaps.

I was hoping someone would reply to this also.

well; i was talking with one of the moderators RSwords. he has an 89 and he's been down the same road. he runs a full manual VB out of a gasser 727. this eliminates the governor differences... the clutches and bands for a performance 727 can be used in the diesel 727; and goerend is the man to go to for a good TC. RSwords also gave me the heads up that goerends may have a lead on a nice VB for it. other than that; shift wise were stuck with the gasket type shift kit that redirects some fluids and the drill bit method to the VB
