so im having a problem. i used the mopar external regulator that was said to be used. i am funnring my cummins and it am getting 24 volts to the battery from the charge wire to the battery from the alternator. i wired the key on power to the top terminal on the pyramid and the other wire to the other terminal on the alternator....... my question is did i do something wrong. the other thing i am wondering is.. i hooked key on power directly to the terminal on the back of the alternator that the top pyramid terminal on the regulator is hoooked to. i am confused why it didnt work?? |
just did this to my truck and the voltage is serging? it charges fairly high and it cuts out and in again repeatedly, you can see my headlights flickering and hear the heater motor speeding up and slowing down.maybe its a crappy regulator? but at least i can charge the batterys back up:tu:
