Holy crap fellas. I did something wrong. First off I started way too late today, so now I need a ride too work tomorow. I got everything back together and started her up and she idled like a bat out of hell. I turned it off and adjusted the full fuel screw out untill it was tollerable, then I reached in pressed the foot feed and it didn't budge. How was your's acting, jasonfriedlin? I can't believe I have to start over.:argh:

did you get the indexing of the throttle lever off? i've heard if you get the thing off a tooth or two it'll do the same thing... as for your pedal not budging... idk maybe you got the lever put back together wrong. see if you can move anything by hand. all in all i'd take it apart and re-do it... this time b4 you put it back together back your full fuel screw all the way out so it doesnt catch on the governor linkage. anyone care to add on? idk if i'm gettin anywhere close or not

Well, I'm pretty sure I got everything the way it was when I took it apart. I mean, as far as I can tell, that is. Something is wrong though. I did take the full fuel screw all the way out before reasembly. So that should be allright. I popped the throttle linkage off and then back on again, this time the fuel pedal worked but it ran like crap, and idled too fast so I backed out the idle screw and gave the pedal another try and it was frozen solid. Plus, while it was running (crappily), the dome light was dimming as the motor loped. It's all messedup. I think I'll Just start over tomorow. I'll let ya know how it goes. Thanks - Ryan

me too it was a huge disappointment after all the talk about them and i got the 4200 spring

did you bump any of the governor linkage? it sounds like the linkage might be jammed and the governor isn't doing its job if it's loping. and does your manual fuel shot off lever turn freely? may have gotten the linkage pinned against the lever... idk; there isn't a whole lot for anything to get stuck on in there... best of luck ryan hope it's a simple fix

Well, I got the majority of the B.S. sorted out. I finished with a flash light last night and I didn't get the throtle levers seated proper. I just took it apart about five times to get the alignment right. I'm almost positive it is right on, but it still is idling fast and the idle screw isn't touching any more. Anybody have an idea? Mabey I need to move one more notch? Backing out the fuel screw dosn't seem to help.:humm::argh:
