Default ve manual cutoff

my 1 gen...alright lets see if i can make this clear...was gonna use it as a theft device..took the spring off so the manual pull cable was easier to pull..well i put it on in the same position and was thinking if i moved it a little to where it would shut off with less pull that would be good...well it wouldnt start then i moved it and it wouldnt shut off with the lever...well i got it to where there is about 3/4 throw and then it shuts down it seemed about the same as before i started..was wondering how critical the position of the shaft on the inside of the pump was incase it wasnt exactly the same..

got the truck a week ago and love it..i have been reading and learning alot from you guys ...i know it doesnt have to deal with the pump but oil pressure gauge hangs around the second line of the 4 that are attached is this ok..just replaced the sending unit cause the light use to come on when i would come to a stop...

any info would be great thanks guys

If the fuel shut-off lever isn't returning all the way, I do believe that you may be limiting maximum fueling. If you still have as much boost pressure and EGT temperatures now as you did, then you are probably not limiting maximum fueling.

My pull-cable has full articulation of the lever and isn't too hard to pull at all with the stock spring.
