Its a HUGE difference when you figure in that the advance needed to make the injectors perform to there potential will play HELL on your Head gasket.

what is the difference in injector body and spray pattern?

Body has different thread on the top, spray angle is a little bit wider

is there a different set of lines available for the VE that would fit the 2nd gen bodies?

no

lot of unanswered questions left in this thread guys. :pca1:

All the answer have been answered else where in this thread. I put the specific answers to your questions above in red.

I guess I read them more as questions than answers..

The long and short of it is you will get better performance and spend less money getting injectors made for a 1st gen.

I already figured that. I'm just that darn guy who likes to know every little detail regardless of it's importance

Nothing wrong with that.

by second gen your talking 12V right ? because 2nd gens have 12V and 24 V engines and the injectors are completely different

Cummins Injectors

Has any one researched if a 2004.5 to 2007 cummins injector will fit into a 2003-2004.
They appear to be the same. :c:

I think the 03-04 have one injection event and the 04.5-07 have three and internally they are different. I would post this in the 3rd gen section because i'm not for certain.
