I'm wondering if I can bypass the comp and use pressure switches instead :humm:

IF you are talking about getting it to shift into overdrive, I believe the answer is yes.
|
so all the comp dose is shift it in to over drive?
|
Yep, as far as I know.
The PCM controls OD, alternator charging, and the speedometer needle. |
sweet thanks for the help:U:

You're welcome.
from one n00b to another. |
If you want to bypass the PCM, you will need to remove the OD control wire from the PCM wire harness or cut it at some point, then splice it into a switch. You want to splice the black wire on the transmission, and run the switch to ground. 12v is supplied to the OD solenoid and the solenoid is engaged by grounding out the circuit. THis also works if your transmission will not shift into OD automatically from a bad PCm or TPS.

thanks for the help you guys rock:U:
