help tranny problems

ok 91 250 4x4 with a 5.9 cummins.it has the 4 speed auto tranny. i just rebuilt it with new evreything tc and all.i replaced the throttle positioning sensor and the speed sensor on the tailshaft. the truck runs fine in all gears but then when im in od it starts acting up. it seems to free rev like its going into kickdown so i have to let off and get back in it and its fine but it could happen 10 times in 15 miles. i think its the tv cable shot out please help thanks rich

did you adjust the kick down cable?

You should be able to check articulation of the TV cable easy enough, right? Have a helper push the throttle to the floor and back while watching to see if the shaft on the transmission moves?

Our trucks don't have a kick-down cable. :tttt:

i tried it

yes there is adj in the cable but it just goes right back to the end of adj. i adj it and it works good for a day or two and it just goes right back to crap hense the reason i think its the tv cable. i dont have a kickdown its just hammerdown and go

Did a shop rebuild it for you? Carry it back!!!

On another not could teh TPS be going out? I dont drive a OD tranny so I'm at a loss.... Sorry.

TPS sensor, mine did the exact same thing. Clean the plug and try it again.

ok i just got it back from the tranny shop again and he hooked it up to the scanner he said that the tps was gettin alot of noise from somewhere. electrical problem.i think its my battery cables they are pretty jacked up,frayed. the neg cale is the worst of the two.he just told me to check all my connections and tighten/clean them all. what do you think
