Early 90's Dodge

Just kind of curious here. How many of you have owned or know someone that has owned an early 90's dodge that the automatic transmission died with less then 100,000 miles on it?
I live in a small, less then 1,000, community and know of 9 people that had this problem.
I keep hearing on several different net forums that this was a major issue and I'm looking for some info. to prove it.
Thanks

Dont know about teh 518's but my 727 has ALOT of miles on it making pretty good power and I pull the sled with it all the time. Holding up fine.
