Say's its a H1C Turbo...
From What I have gathered on the net its the same as a 1st gen Turbo... Any reason to put it on an 89?
here is where i found the info... http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/FAQ/turbo_faq.htm |
Yeah, looks industrial to me. The impeller fins sure look dirty. I hope its cheap or better yet free.
$50... Is it the exact same as on a 89 CTD or is it worth the upgrade? And thanks for posting up.... I felt like I was talking to myself...
Sorry bud, I cant answer any questions on first gens....
Any idea if its a Holset? |
From this page - http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/FAQ/turbo_faq.htm
Looks like it has a 18 cm turbine housing (due to the 3519410)....but I cant find the other number... |
Thats what it looks like the casing says in the firt pic.
It depends on the exhaust housing size. If it's smaller than yes you'll gain some benefit in faster spool up but looks like it has the 18 cm housing. IMO I'd save my pennies for a decent used HX35 and go that way.
Its most likely a 21CM holsett H1C. its stock basically not sure if u would benefit from it or not

Yup, I went from a WH1C (stock turbo on my 94) to a HX35W w/o any problems.
Any new info here?
Nope... I can't figure out how to close it though....

To close the thread just use the thread tools at the top of the first post. If you want to re-open it, you also have that option. Hope you got all the answers you needed.
