Default ve pump no throttle response

so i was driving home from work and all of the sudden there was no throttle. well sort of no throttle, it would die over a certain throttle position. i ended up making it home but it wouldn't go over 1200 rpm and then kept getting less till it hardly idles. i changed the fuel filter with no change. anyone have ideas? Thanks

You can't just leave us hanging.

What was the problem?

What did you do to figure it out? New parts needed? Tuning?

my engine came out of a bus, it had only a manual shut down. i added a new china fss. it worked for 400 miles but i guess looking back, it never shut it down as quick as an oem bosch. anyways i installed a known working bosch fss from one of my 4bts and it runs great and shuts down quick. btw, the tip on the china one looked as good as new and the solenoid worked on the "bench" but the oem bosch seemed to pull in quicker, harder, and maybe even stronger...
