So I picked up this 1989 w250 cummins recently and thought I would do a build thread. Truck has 189,000 on it, it is an auto trans, non-intercooled , bone stock truck!! VE pump has never been touched and all parts are original. There is no rot anywhere on this truck, it has very little surface rust in a couple spots where the paint has chipped, body is completely solid other than a few dings and dents here and there. Frame rails still have factory paint markings.

Thank You! I am not real sure yet. I had all these plans when I was looking for a first gen to buy, but now that I have one that is this clean I am at a loss!!! I almost feel like I should clean her up a little more and just stick her in the garage!!!

Since that isn't really going to happen I am open for some suggestions!

Well if it was me with a 4x4 I would lift it a lil to fit 35's get some nice wheels, then move on to power mods or you could do the power mods first. Boost gauge and a pyrometer are some of the first things you need before power mods. These non intercooled 1st gens can get warm quick with power mods. If you read my signature, with those mods are enough to peg pyro 1600* in a heart beat. My next power mod is to do a powerstroke intercooler to cool my egts down. Its a chain reaction when it comes to power mods.
