Hx35 or h1c upgrade????

I've even reading up on the hx35, let me tell you want I want first. I just want a quicker spool up, and good egt control, I'm not going to be towing so that isn't a worry, just daily street driving.seems like the hx35 isn't much of an upgrade, just fast spool up an hot ass egts, so I was wondering would it be better to just upgrade the H1C? I've read several places that you can upgrade the compressor wheel, otherwise known as the Exducer, correct? And also what else I could do to it to make it better. I also wanted to know if I can run a 4" downpipe.any help at all is appreciated, I've read so much stuff, and now I'm staring to get confused if guys like the hx35 or hate them

Hx35 will be much better than modded h1c, hx35 is much better for daily driving (at least if you have a manual), gets a lot better fuel milage. Did for me anyways. And when i went from H1c to hx35 my egt's went DOWN not UP.

I've been reading a lot and I'm leaning towards the H1C upgrades, I guess the 92 standard shift have the 12cm2 turbine housing, and a 54mm compressor wheel, so would it be better to keep the factory turbo, and just upgrade it, I'm not towing or hauling, just a little street running, just want to keep cool and have a quicker spool up, so would it be easier to just pull my turbo off and put some other things on it, and should I also upgrade to the 14cm2 turbine housing, and the 60mm compressor wheel, or should I just hx35 it, I've heard the hx35 isn't quite bolt on, I guess you have to move the downpipe back 1 1/2 inches??? I've heard the upgraded h1c will be almost as good as the hx35 and I also just found a billet compressor wheel, so even lighter for quicker spool, just really split on which way to go

some people have to move down pipe back a little some don't. Its not a big deal at all if you have to.

Okay, how do I know if I have to move the pipe? Probably just bolt the hx35 on and see?

i had to move mine to put the hx35 on then i pushed it back up and bolted it on to turbo.

Okay, another question, what kind of down pipe and how big of a downpipe can I use on the h1c? And how big can I go on the hx35? I want to go 4" downpipe then to 5" exhaust, is there any problems with the style of downpipe for the H1c, do you know if I can get a 4" downpipe for it?

I'm using a 4" Diamond Eye downpipe on my Hx35. The H1C has either 18 or 21cm ex housing. The hx35 has a 12cm w/wastegate. The 24-valve hx35s have a different orientation of the wg actuator, and 7 blade compressor wheel for more flow.

If your trucks like mine, all the exhaust hangers are broken or rusted out anyways.... so I didn't have to move any :w2:
