Fuel issues
I have a 1st gen swap inn my 95' Silverado. Two weeks ago I fire the truck up in about 10 degree weather. Truck has sat for a week plugged in the entire time. Truck fired right up. I walk over to it after running maybe 2 minutes and it starts to chug and stalls. I go to restart it and it just cranks. I checked the ve pump and found it dripping out the rear o ring by the block the lines come out of.
I pulled the pump yesterday and replaced the bad o ring and shutoff solenoid also. Truck still wont fire. I am getting fuel from the lift pump to the injection pump. Cracked injector lines and it barely dribbles out while cranking. Any one have any ideas before I spend the money getting the pump rebuilt? |
Your Fss failed or you aren't getting 12v to it. Wire it up to the battery and try and start it. If that doesn't work, take the fss out again. Remove the plunger + spring on the inside and re-install.
Your truck should fire right up. You'll need to shut the truck off by the manual kill lever on the side of the pump. |
FSS is brand new. I just replaced it the same time as the o ring. And yes it clicks and gets 12v when i turn the key on.

Before you get the pump replaced I would try it without the fss plunger and spring in there. Just to be 100% sure, your new fss could be faulty.
