VE pump will NOT adjust!!!

So basically i have done every adjustment possible to this VE pump and nothing works. I have turned the full power screw, the smoke screw..etc. The pump does not deliver any extra fuel. After the the injector install i can see the difference in power but it screaming for more fuel. i have the power adjustment screw bottomed out and there is no change in idle while moving the screw in.(or out). I took some pics while i was putting the GSK in the pump internally looks the same as other pumps i have seen. On the TST web page for adjusting the VE pump they mention that some trucks cannot be turned up by making the adjustments. I was wondering if anyone has every encountered this or am i the only lucky one. :humm:

Are you sure you're turning the correct screw? Do you have any pictures? If you unscrew the power screw it should drop your idle and eventually not run / start. It pushes against the fulcrum lever inside your pump.

Yes at some point backing the screw out the truck dies but once you start back in the idle will go back to normal and never go higher.. And yes I'm turning the right screw I've turned other pumps up no problems

That's odd. You might need a longer fuel screw then. Try "The Hot Screw" from The Hungry Diesel. Should solve your problem :tu:

could have a broken spring, cam flat in inj. pump or rotor head worn and wont build any more pressure..

Thanks I'll try the hot screw and let you know I don't think the pump is worn although it could be possible I'll let you all know of I find any solutions

Some pumps have been known not to use their full fuelling capabilities with the factory power screw.

Let us know if the hot screw works :tu:

Make sure to be prepared for runnaway
