What Should I Do?

Hey there,

I have a 1993 Dodge W-250. I'm trying to sell the truck (listed at $6,800 Canadian) and a recent inspection came up with a few big problems. While the engine (280,000 miles) and body are in fantastic condition, it has these issues which effect the safety of the rig:

1. The steering gear box isn't full attached to the frame rail. Apparently it can be moved by hand.
2. The front right break calliper is sticking and overheating.
3. The front wheel bearings have excessive play and will need to be replaced or repacked.
4. The front break hoses are swollen and covered in oil/cracking.
5. Power steering box is dripping.

Basically, what would you expect repairs to cost (obviously a ball park figure). Also, if you were me, would you do the repairs and sell it, or lower the price?

Cheers,
Calum

Its labour intensive, but could probably be done with less that $200 in parts.

Paying shop... well... better prepare :moon:

Do the repairs and sell it. People aren't gonna give a good price for a truck that thy are just going to have to take straight home and work on.
