I have actually looked at this truck online. How does she do on fuel they way you have it set up . And i mean real numbers not fairytale numbers

According to a friends GPS, on a 95% freeway trip, we got 28mpg out of it with the cruise set at 65. On the return trip at 85 it was only 21. Filled tank, set GPS, stopped at last fuel station before friends house and filled up. That was before the nv swap though. Average figured from odometer in normal (for me, everything is 45-70 with few stop signs or lights) driving, 22-24ish. If I spend time driving in the city, I averaged closer to 18-19 per tank.

Did It have the getrag 5 speed before?

Redneck2 07-08-2014 03:23 PM

Yes. I swapped the nv in because the getrag died on me.

Well I'm interested

I only have 5000 saved. So something already built is a little out of my price range I think at the moment . But if it's still for sale in a couple months I will have to get ahold of you. I live in montana so I will also have to have it in my budget to get the truck up here some how. How many horse's is she making I'm looking at the 300 to 400 range .

Redneck2 07-08-2014 03:38 PM

I haven't run it on the dyno. Just tuned it by feel, drivability and quick spooling was more important than max hp. With the injectors she should be close to the 400 mark though. She is a quick truck as is, but is set up to drive and tow.

That's what I'm looking for is a truck to tow with
