5.9 Conversion speedo & guages ?

I apologize if this is in the wrong place or a easily found answer , I have 2 1st gens a stick and a a auto. I have been waiting to start my conversion and had always planned to put my getrag into my 92 gmc crewcab. However I have decided to maybe put the 46rh in and use the pcm . My question is does anyone have a solution to the speedo. How do I keep my gmc gauges or do I have to transplant the dodge guages.. I have a gearvendor and I dont typically use the stock overdrive . I dont' know if that changes anything but . I want this to become my main truck and I'll transfer the stick in the d350 .
The gmc is a fleet truck with very little electronics. no tach Thx

first, it's in the right spot.
As for the speedo, maybe you can use the gmc gauges and get a company to build a speedo cable that will work with the dodge tranny and your gmc gauge. Just a thought.
I don't think it will matter that you have a gear vendor unit.

thx for the reply they both (gmc and dodge) are speedos controled by a signal . I did find a company that makes a signal unit. Speedometers > Legacy > Gauges Only thet also do gps units . But a person could use a old phone for that I guess. maybe one of the mods can move this thread to the correct location. thx again

I did the same conversion in my 88 3500 and never have found anyone that has made it work as one has a 2 wire vss and the other has a 3 wire. I just use a gps app on my phone. Also i just put a switch on the overdrive so i can operate it manually and it works great, no need for the pcm. As for the rest of the gauges just use the stock chevy senders and all is good with the gauges. If you have a factory tach in the chevy you eill need to send the alt out and have a tach wire installed or use the stock chevy alt. If you go with the dodge alt you will need to wire in a electronic voltage regulator and it works perfect.

The speedo pickup will have to be after the GV or it will only read correct in direct on the GV
