Fuel Pin-Original Position Lost

I know this is a "BOMBERS" website but I'm more concerned with keeping the truck on the road for a long time. I have no EGT Gauge and no intercooler.

So, I do not have the original position for the fuel pin. Should I just make it so it's like halfway in between? The shallow part towards the top (or bottom) and the deep part on the other side?

Or before I install the pump, have someone adjust it somehow to what should be the proper setting?

the only way to adjust it to factory is on a machine...

The fuel pin will have as scratch mark in it where it has been sitting. You will be able to see it and face it towards the front of the engine.

Unless you're talking about the fuel screw then you just need to turn it in until it will start and back it off / in a turn if you want.

No, it's the fuel pin I'm referring to. I'll take a look and see if I can match up any wear patterns. That would save me a few hundred. Thanks for your help guys.

You'll be able to notice an apparent wear mark in it. And you wouldn't be able to get too hot egt-wise with a stock engine anyways I don't think you have to worry about which way it is facing. With my mods I can barely get to 1250F, I have to let off because I'm going too fast. :tu:
