Possibly nozzles sticking?

Hey ya'll, I have a 92, with 230k on it. Normal maintenance done by original owner, valve adjust filters etc, but it has original injectors. What it's doing is when the engine is cold, it will " miss" on a few cylinders as if an injector line is loose when it's first started every now an then. Runs good, my mileage is a little less then normal. You ya'll agree that they're wore out? Or do you think something else is going on? Which brings up the question, what would a good replacement injector be?

Either Bosch OEM injectors or a good set from one of these vendors. Do you always have a a haze or excessive black smoke? you can also take a temp gun and check the temps on the exhaust manifold and see if one runninng cooler or hotter... But if you just need to justify to your girlfriend or wife that you need new injectors. Just tell her one id F***** :c:

That's just the thing, what is a " good set". I have no haze, and only light smoke at high rpm passing the a hole drive ignorantly slow. The fuel screw is still at the collar and fuel pin turned. And no justification, I was wanting some new sticks, cause new ones have to have a better pattern, atomization, and opening pressure than the currents, but want to diagnose the problem, not throw parts and money at the problem.

Anything from XPD.Com thuribreed disesel or industrial injection. I cant tell you whats good or bad I would not go and do 150Horse injectors but maybe 75 horse should be a good place to be.. I would check your engine timeing if your having misses when cold, but also when was the last time fuel filter has been replaced? Maybe your sucking air...

Like I said I am thinking 40 or 50 horse injectors. I put a new mechanical lift pump on a few months back, and a new fuel filter at that time too. I am interested in doing M&H's dynamic timing advance, checking timing, 4" exhaust, the before mentioned injectors. I am thinking about checking the injectors at work.
