1st gen cummins in suburban
I want to swap a cummins in my 97 suburban I know this has been ask before but I wanted twin turbos in mine so what is a ruff price to do this swap with just the engine and transmission thanks

Find a complete '94-98 Dodge to use as a donor. (Could have had a 4x4 dually w/broken frame for $1500 last week if I'd only had the funds :ouch: )
You can go with used turbos for twins, like a HX35 and a HT3B. Say $500 for the pair. The rest is making up mounts and turbo plumbing... plus any upgrades you want to buy. Sky's the limit of course, but you can have the basics together fairly cheap. :tu: |
cool thanks isn't the 94-98 a 24 valve I was looking at a 1st gen 12 valve just because i did not want to deal with a computer i do not know how to hook up a computer into my 97 suburban any help on that would be nice. if that is possible that would be great i do want a 24 valve but was gonna do a 12 valve cause its simple to swap thanks

94 to 98.5 is a p-pumped 12 valve.

The reason I suggest 94-98 is the transmissions are better, and t-case is already on the left side.

I was gonna mate an Alison transmission to the 12 valve
