Hx35 turbo

I have 92 cummins that has banks gauges. Exhaust temps run 1200 especially when hauling. Had fuel plate slid ahead only getting 19 lbs boost. Thinking about upgrading to hx35 and installing boost elbow. From what I've read this should help with high temps correct? If I swap to the hx35. What do I do with the vaccum line that comes from the intercooler to the stock turbo? The 24 valve that I'd be taking the hx off doesn't have this vaccum line

The late 35's cool ok. Mine was decent with not much fueling. The current HE351 does way better tho.

That line can be cut/ removed then a 1/8" pipe plug put in the afc housing.

Should have the timing done on it. Seen a few p-pump engines where the timing has slipped and they run hot/ dont make any power.

Great thanks. The turbo I'm looking at is coming off a school bus not sure of the year but its a 24 valve. I'm hoping that the 4" down pipe can also be used on mine with minor mods. Everything I've looked up this should help my issue so I can turn the fuel pin and get a little more out of the ole girl once I get new turbo installed
