Parts Help

I'm looking for a turbo upgrade on a budget for my 93 intercooled cummins, i dont need twins, or a crazy single, just a turbine wheel or something to equal out my pump tweaks. I cant find anything on my own so i joined the site for some help. I also cant find any 3 hole pillar gauge pods for my 93. Thanks in advance for any info on what to get or where to get it. Brett.

Well... I know that they don't make a 3 guage a-piller pod for the first gen... Just a two. I just ordered one for my 89 from L&N perfomance, Great Service and good price. . A lot of guys are using the 2 pod and a single stacked... Looks OK,. or you can use the 2 on the A-piller and get a 2nd gen steering column mount. As for the Turbo... Get a WHC1, HX35, or you can upgrade to a 14mm housing for a little faster spool up. What exactly are you trying to get the turbo to do? EGT's to high?

What transmission do you have? What have you done so far in terms of pump tweaks, injectors, exhaust, air intake, etc? If your current turbo is in good shape, you can get an upgrade kit for the cold side from HTT, Gillett, etc for $3-400. This is an impellar wheel and housing. Stock is 54mm; they have them from 56 to 60mm. The 60 cooled my 92 down about 200deg peak. Not much change at cruise.

I have the stock turbo with a 14cm wastegated exhaust housing on mine and with minor pump tweaks and everything else stock it works great.
whenever I go to upgrade the injectors I'll probably be getting an HTB2 but for where I'm at now, the exhaust housing works great, I have plenty of power and EGT for commuting and towing.

I hear good things about the HTB2. You will be able to sell that gated 14cm2 housing for quite a bit if you don't keep it. Those aren't cheap.

I'm just looking to upgrade what i have, as i feed it extra fuel i know it needs more air, ive played with all adjustments on the pump (not maxing anything out), 4" straight pipe, stock injectors, K&N, and a automatic. I'm still playing with different setups. The larger compressor side and a turbine sounds good to me.
