Where are you getting your Tach signal from? And are you 100% sure your RPM's are correct
And What kind of Tach are you running |
Not sure if they are 100 Percent. Running an Auto Meter tach that runs off a signal from the alternator. But I do know that im not going fast enough I cant even think about running down the freeway.

What Model Auto Meter and how did you Adjust it
|
If your tacho is correct about the only other area to look at would be your transfer case,
Not knowing what you have it is only a guess but is there any chance this has been fitted with crawler gears? |
Sport Comp Silver Diesel Tach, it Straps to the alternator. I used a digital hand held tachometer and some reflective tape on the crank to adjust it. The transfer case is a full time NP203.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- I don't believe so it came out of a stock 73 Ford. Im not sure what the T-case ratio is but Ill look at that ASAP. Im thinking about swapping an NP205 Anyway. |
I don't think it's a engine problem, your truck should be in the 110mph range at 3k--3:54-- and 5spd, according to tire size.
your EGT's should be getting up around 1,000* or higher, if they are not I feel like the clutch is slipping and not loading the engine. |
Thanks for the advice, im gonna put a new slave cylinder on and bleed the line out and see what happens. The Slave just doesn't seem to be putting enough pressure down.
