Dumb question, but is it designed for diesels? I think you may be able to piggyback some of the diesel tachs off the alternator pick up, but if it was designed for a gasser, you're out of luck. If you had a 92 or newer, the scuttlebutt is that you can use the tach lead in the wiring harness, but for your 90, you gotta do some "figgering". Issapro makes an all-in-one kit that has a pickup that runs off the pulley with some magnets. Lotta good reviews on them and I think there is a write up in the stickies ... but you're probably out over a Franklin to get it there.
