bleed in fuel filter housing??

trying to get fuel up from tank on a new project. Isn't there a bleed on the filter housing. Is it hidden behind that bracket ??
I want to get fuel there before removing injector lines. I know the lift pump has to have it's actuation arm on a cam lobe before you can manually pump it. i have bumped the engine many times and I can get no 'feel' from the manual arm either.
I can get to the tank because the bed is off. I',m thinking of just opening up a filter purge(if i can find it) and just pressurizing the fuel forward. thanx, crossy

you can use comp air in the tank (watching not to get too much) to push air out until you get fuel at the injectors. :hellox:

There is a bleeder screw on the pump inlet line's banjo bolt, close to where the filter screws to the head.
It is a 10mm headed bolt.

Chances are that the lift pump diaphragm's connector pin as lost the "swage" that the pump primer arm attaches to and it won't pump fuel.
This would account for not being able to feel the diaphragm work no matter where you try to place the cam.

ummmm of course was right about the bleeder, but the reason I couldn't get any feel from the pump arm was because there was a giant hole in the fuel feed line in the frame. that pump arm wasn't made to compress AIR. lol
after I fixed the fuel line I used a cheap electric pump to just push through the lift pump until i got fuel outta ONE injector tube. after that just a LITTLE cranking and it lit up. I was still running the electric pump. than, crossy

I don't think that I would have missed a rusted out line in the 1st place, glad you got it figured out. :)
