Strange issue when down shifting

So a few weeks ago I noticed that when I down shift to help slow the truck down, I dont feel much if any resistance. In fact it feels like it would lunge once and a while. Some times 2nd gear slowing down feels fine. I tried pushing in the clutch when it happens and the RPMs fall as they should. The truck starts vary quickly no matter how long it sits and I dont have any fuel leaks.

Any ideas?

Low compression?

All of the sudden? The truck starts quickly, doesn't fume from the oil fill tube, and doesnt puke oil from the drain

Maybe clutch slip:humm:

RPM to speed seems normal, clutch is only a year old also

How big of tires? also a clutch would slip under hard acdeleration before holding it back. especially while the truck is empty.
