update to last post about transmission swaps
 

hi, my dad and i have a 1997 dodge ram 3500 v10 4x4 and a 92 ram 350 12v cummins 2wd.

we took the manual 2wd transmission out of the 92 and attached the automatic 4x4 transmission from the 97 to the 92 cummins we will eventually make it a 4wd but as of right now we are having a few issues.

the cross member is not able to be put back in, the mounts from the old transmission are not matching up, the starter is not fully engaging the flywheel, and its getting to be a huge pain our my asses :argh::argh:.

we did all necessary part replacements, proper flex plate,flywheel, backing plate, the adapter plate to go from a manual transmission to an automatic.


any info would be greatly apprecited
