Custom Individual Runner Intake Plenum 5.9L 12 Valve Cummins Diesel

Do you own, only costs about $75 to do it 1st class....

I like the way my homemade one looks compared to the over priced kits. Plus it has a bigger filter.:tu:

I don't think you get the point, you can make one just like it and shoot nitrous with it. An air filter does not even attach to the intake to the one I linked. ???????????? You run air through the intercooler first!

Did you even look at the link? WTF? Your link does not even work.

92betsy 12-11-2012 01:02 AM

The link might not work, but if you take 2 seconds to type the website in it brings it right up. I built mine with 2 silicone boots, clamps, 4" exhaust pipe, a BHAF, and a heat sheild for less than $100. Air goes to the filter before intercooler, but the intake manifold is not the same as an intake. So you should figure out what your saying before running your mouth to people who make sense. Just my opinion.:w2:

bladeyamaha 12-11-2012 01:10 AM

Nevermind you obviously don't understand engineering enough to figure out the benefits.

92betsy 12-11-2012 01:27 AM

I do. But if he is talking about a cold air intake your posts are irrelevant. That intake you posted is cool, but if he is looking for a Cold air intake then it is not the answer to what was asked. So why talk the trash you did to people who are helping him, what you posted is a different intake than asked about?
If he want a intake plate than he should specify. Not say intake. Don't get butt hurt.

I know extra posting but a intake is what sucks the air in, intake plate is what is after the intake, turbo, and intercooler. Plus did he ask about nitrous? BTW with a VE the giant intake plate is not really needed. If he wants a intake plate then get over 700hp and maybe it will help like a p-pumps power. A dual intake plate will cool the cylinders just fine for less.

You want a wet or dry:humm:

tampabaybill 12-11-2012 09:52 AM

If you are talking pre-turbo and don't want to make one , check out ASA Modified. If after intercooler check out Tim's Cooler Tubz or M&H Inc. hope that helps:c:

your link didn't work right, simply because these guys :c: showed up as part of the address. If you'll go put a space between the end of the address and the :-c-: it'll work, and the beerguys won't get their party interrupted.... And I suspect he was looking for a cold air/BHAF setup, rather than the hugely more-involved stainless intake.

Not my link but saw it as a good link for a BHAF build. I assume he wanted a cold air intake though. Any 1st genner spending 1200 on a intake though doesn't run a VE pump was my main point. Didnt want to argue but some people can't take reality with ought getting bum hurt. IMHO.

point taken..... has anybody noticed that the O.P. hasn't been back? We've all been mumbling amongst ourselves in his absence. Makes ya wonder sometimes.

Intake Hoses, IntakeTubing, and Intake Clamps

I think the sport compact tuner world is to thank for the confusion on this post. They have changed the reference to an "intake" from an intake manifold to what the air filter clamps to. I had the same argument with some friends who were into Honda's until I realized all they meant was air filter.
