Brake problems

I wondered if anyone has any ideas on my brake. Issues. My truck stops fine some times, then I can't oust the pedal down then, I push it to the floor and barely stop. Not by choice haha. I checked the vacuumed its steady at idle at 25. I don't know what to try next. It has fluid. I've read it is an option to just get an aftermarket kit if a guy can afford it. Any help would be great thanks

Might the booster or master cylinder. Not an expert on which. May not hurt to replace both, but prolly not necessary. :) Sounds like the master cylinder may be out. Check the rear brake cylinders for leaking too. Check the calipers. Check your depth of shoes and brake pads.

Mine did the same, but pedal got very stiff and couldnt stop. I replaced my abs sensor which had been chewed by my dogs and it stopped it. Could be your hydro or vacuum booster, whichever one your truck has get it checked out

Go into your cab pop the glove box out by pushing down on the tabs holding it from folding out to far. In behind the glovebox is the abs model unplug it n see if that fixes it. Mine randomly did that one day going down a hill with a intersection at the bottom. Unplugged it n my brakes had never worked so good since I got the truck till I unplugged the ABS module.
