Upper Radiator Hose Question
As I dig in more and more I find things just patched together on my truck. Does anyone have to adapt down the upper radiator hose from about a 2" to 1-1 1/2"? The PO had done this along with putting 2 radiator hoses together to come accross the front of the truck then 90 degree into the upper hose fitting. I suspect because this was a big block truck that the radiator is the original 4c with a smaller fitting. I wish I had noticed that while I had it at the radiator shop I would have seen if they could have put a larger opening at the top. Thanks

Does anyone know where I can get a hose that looks like this one? Is this what everyone else is running?

get one made outta steel at a muffler shop with rubber pieces to connect to the rad n engine?

That's a thought. I'm wondering if that would hold excessive heat. Theo setup I pictured has 3-4 pieces in it and loos like crap.

No get one piece bent then get something like one of these for the connector on the one end and a regular piece of hose on the other end. If it does hold in head it won't be much besides that top rad hose is what brings the coolant back to the rad to get cooled off in the 1st place.
