Constant White Smoke?!

Default Constant White Smoke?!

i have a 1996 dodge cummins, 12 valve, its running fine, building boost, and doing everything it should, but it is constantly blowing white smoke from the exhaust and the blow by tube?! can some one please help me out on what it could be?!

time for a compression test. could have been timing but you say its running fine? probable combustion gasses getting by the rings and blowing out the tube. does you engine oil get NASTY really quickly? how many miles on the truck? out the tail pipe could be a injector.

Sounds like could be a piped head gasket also. Have you checked your coolant?

yeah its running fine, a little hard starting, but i herd thats normal, but the thing is, im using ALOT of oil, if i drive it daily im easliy going threw a jug of oil every 2-3 days. but the oil looks fine, i thought it might be a head gasket my my coolants fine, im lost.

If your going through that much oil, and no leak it's one ode two things. It's either a hg or your rings are completely shot

yeah, would a compression test prove that its the rings?

how much would a stock rebuild cost (ballpark)

Depends one who does it. For a 12v it's 3500 ish for a smaller shop to do it. And yes a compression test would show what was up with it
