Front End Pop
Wondering if anyone has had this happen, truck goes straight down the road with no noise, but when I turn I hear a pop coming from the front end. I know what all it could be, just trying to pin point it quickly.

U joints first guess:humm:

If you would man, fill out your signature so we know what er're working with. check your pitman arm and hub bearings
|
I forgot to mention that this started to happen after I installed a leveling kit without new shocks. I got the death wobble on the interstate pretty bad 3 times before I tucked my tail and limped home. Now I have new bigger shocks to hopefully solve the death bounce!

you need to inspect everything in the front end...............jack it up from the frame so it hangs loose and check everything for slop
|
most of the time its a little bit of this and that that adds up to your problem. :hellox:
|
Trac bar, bushings in control arms, ect.. but like whit said jack it up and give everything a wiggle.
|
Yup id check every component in the front end... Usually the trac bar is the cause of death wobble

Ok, Everything feels tight except the drag link bar. Both tires move in sequence, but I took it off to look as the ball joints at each end. Lucky I did. One of the joints seemed to be chewed up inside. I'm replacing the bar, sleeve, and tie rod.

Look into some upgraded parts if you want to do it right, the oem stuff is trash and will wear out fairly quick. I can send you some links if you are interested.
