AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-90. I havent switched to synthetic yet but they do have a synthetic blend too if you are interested in running that.

You want syn in the diffs.

yeah Ive been debating on what to put in, i have 5 gallons of this castrol 80-90 thats been sitting in the garage for months now id love to put it to some use!..

So I should say, Do you guys think it would be ok if I ran this castrol 80-90 with some diff additive?

Dr. Evil 05-21-2012 01:08 PM

The castrol will be fine but the amsoil is a lot better

1AMatt 05-24-2012 11:46 AM

Ive always just ran regular old 80w90 with no problems.... BUT like everyone has said synthetic would work better!

Eddiebuntain 05-24-2012 12:08 PM

The Castrol should be fine, add some limited slip additive if applicable. Personally I run 50/50 Mobil synthetic 75w90/Lucas oil stabilizer, but that's just me.

Thanks for all the input guys!! i threw some of the castrol 80-90 in last night with some additive, i have so much kickin around i fig id save them pennys for something else!
