putting engine in

Can you put a engine in complete from head to oil pan? I have the front end off the truck and tranny is still in truck? I have head studs for my engine and want it all together before I put it back in. I know it will be a pain to get the head on with the engine in the truck and I don't want to ruin the gasket.

Sweet that's what year mine is. Did you have to jack up the cab? Did you do it with rockers and valve covers on?

turbo2332 04-30-2012 02:22 PM

nope and yes. its a pain in the butt however you can get it in there.

Easy to say when its done but when you are doing it I bet you were making some new four letter words.:dang: I always say that looking back on something. Spend time making sure things are out of the way and it will save you time in the long run.
