Dually to single rear wheel

I sold my big 5th wheel and now I am thinking about converting to a single rear wheel.

This is the question, will a later generation bed fit on a '97? Has anyone done it?

I can find new and near new beds all day long but can't find anything in a 1994-2002.

Too bad you're so far away, I'd like to go SRW to dual :c:

No luck, but I will keep watching. The later year truck beds ('02-11) are easy to find in Southern California because so many get service beds installed.

I have heard of a newer bed being put on a Gen 2 but I don't have any details on what it takes.

Would like to see a picture of that, maybe he will post.

That might work with a set of Bushwacker flares to cover up the cutout.

I was just under the truck and taking off the dually fenders will leave a crap-load of holes. :dang:

yea it will. idk if youve ever seen the nissan trucks they have guards that go around the edge of the fender. that would cover the holes great if you could find something like that. or you could always make something yourself to a custom look
